Rinnai Model RU199i

This “Sensei” model is our best seller.

With a BTU rating of 15,000 – 199,000, it modulates up and down depending on demand. When you are only running one faucet, it will use much less fuel than a typical water heater. When two showers begin running, the unit automatically ramps up to meet demand.

This model will serve almost all residential applications, providing enough hot water for two showers and one small appliance simultaneously, and endlessly.

Equipped with recirculation technology, this model will circulate hot water throughout your home during hours that you choose for it to run.

Tankless Water Heater FAQs

I live with four other people in our home, will these Rinnai models be able to keep up?

Yes! We have many installed Rinnai RU and RUR models in houses with 6-7 people with no complaints.

What is the life expectancy of a Rinnai tankless water heater?

We currently service a few models that are over 20 years old. The key is maintenance! Make sure to get your unit serviced once per year to ensure a long lifespan.

I live in a 3 story condo, will it take forever to get hot water to my master bathroom?

We recommend that you go with the RUR199i model to make sure you get hot water instantly in your master bathroom during the periods of the day that you choose.

Are there smaller models available?

Yes, but in Colorado we have cold groundwater that requires more BTUs to get to optimal temperature. For this reason, we do not recommend the smaller models as they would not be able to keep up.

Is there any reason to keep my current tank in line with the Rinnai?

Yes! Remember when we talked about cold Colorado groundwater? A tank piped “in-line” and before the Rinnai will pre-heat the water to room temperature. This will make your Rinnai work less to achieve the same optimal temperature. Of course, it is not necessary for you to keep your tank for the Rinnai to function properly. If you want to get rid of your tank, we will discard it free of charge!
